Trocaire College welcomes and encourages International applicants. International student applicants must meet the same standard admission criteria of Trocaire College as domestic students. In addition, they must present evidence that they have command of the English language.
The following procedures pertain to international applicants:

Accepted students who apply for F-1 status must provide documentation of the source(s) of funding to cover one year of tuition, fees, books and living expenses are available and the amount. There are four main sources of funding defined as:
Personal / Family: A letter from the bank where the funds are available. If the money is not in the student’s name, but rather a parent, a letter from the family member must accompany the bank statement saying the money is available for the student’s education and living expenses.
Scholarship: Official scholarship letter from the institution awarding the scholarship. The award letter must contain the name of the student, the amount of money available for each year of study, the duration of the award (including beginning and ending dates), the degree and major field of study for the award, and that Trocaire College is the applicable institution.
Government or Employer: Official letter indicating amount of support and containing the same information as for “Scholarship” described above.
Loans: Official letter from credit institution indicating approval of the loan and the amount approved.
Official academic transcripts. For international transcripts, submit all transcripts and supporting documentation through World Education Services (WES) or a National Association Credential Evaluation Service (NACES) approved international credit evaluating service that will convert the records to the American grading system and assess for course equivalencies.
Students for whom English is not their first language must take TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and submit their test scores to the Office of Admissions. A minimum TOEFL score of 550 (213 on the computer-based exam) is required for all programs. For the Internet-based TOEFL® iBT a minimum total score of 77.For more information on testing centers or to schedule at test, please visit the TOEFL official website at www.ets.org/toefl.
Once all official documents, TOEFL score (if appropriate) and international credit evaluation are received by the Admissions Office, you will receive an admissions decision. If accepted, Form I-20 will be issued by the Designated School Official (DSO or PDSO).
